Up and out

Oh man, today is just insane! Sunpower is up 18% right now, from lows of around 20. I dont really see any real news in the market other than the "good news" from Citi, so maybe this is yet another case of up today down tomorrow. In any case I still don't think we are back to the levels of two weeks ago...

Step 2: Todo

I doubt anyone has gotten around to looking at this blog yet but I'd appreciate any comment any passes by might have on this. My plan for this blog was for it to be an outlet of my ideas concerning solar, specifically photovoltaics. I though I would start by looking at the traditional polysilicon based supply chain and then moving on to looking at polysilicon in detail before moving on to possibly analyzing solar companies both in the traditional poly-based value chain, and thin film companies. Maybe I'll even try to research some 3rd generation companies. In a list then:

1. Photovoltaic (poly based) value chain overview
2. Polysilicon supply
   
3. Companies

After that who knows. Maybe this can turn in to an ongoing coverage of solar news and companies. Thoughts anyone? If you are looking at this and have your own blog please send me a note! I'd love to follow what others are writing in this space.

Step 1

This blog has no concrete agenda, most likely it will cover a range of solar topics from the current market condition (always fun to start thinking about a topic in the middle of a recession...) to ideas for long term winners across the solar value chain. Hopefully the answer will not just be Sunpower (SPWRA|B) and FirstSolar....
